Teacher organisations in Charthawal backed BEO Amarveer Singh (Rohit)

Muzaffarnagar/Charthawal: Several teacher organisations have rallied behind Block Education Officer (BEO) Amarveer Singh in Charthawal, staging a protest at the Block Resource Centre (BRC) and submitting a memorandum to the District Basic Education Officer. They described the allegations against Singh as unfounded and demanded an impartial inquiry, insisting that any action should be based on verified evidence.

Teachers Question Allegations Against the BEO

According to representatives of the teacher organisations, some individuals from other development blocks, along with local teachers, levelled allegations against Amarveer Singh on October 22.

The organisations argued that making accusations without a proper investigation could damage an officer’s reputation and adversely affect the functioning of the education system. They called for the matter to be examined objectively before any conclusions are drawn.

Why Are Teacher Organisations Seeking an Impartial Inquiry?

Teacher representatives described Singh as a cooperative and soft-spoken officer who works in the interests of teachers and students. They maintained that the allegations should be assessed fairly and that decisions should be made only after examining the available facts and evidence.

Through their memorandum, the organisations urged the education authorities to ensure a transparent investigation and avoid taking action without establishing the facts.

Teachers and Union Representatives Attend Protest

Those present during the memorandum submission included Hariraj Singh, Aadesh Kumar, Jasraj Singh, Kailash Chand, Motisim, Toshan Arya, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Harish Kumar and Kuldeep Kumar, along with office-bearers of various teacher organisations.

Other teachers in attendance included Sunil Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, Mukim, Mamta Rani, Pushpa, Abbas, Anshul Sharma, Akhilesh Kumar, Bablu Singh and Kusum Devi.

The organisations reiterated their demand for a fair inquiry, stating that the matter should be resolved on the basis of facts rather than unverified allegations.
